10 holidays for people who hate lying on the beach
With January being peak holiday booking time, it was great to see Aeolian Adventures featured in the Telegraph this month.
The Telegraph kicked off the new year with a round-up of 10 of the best special interest holidays, perfect for anyone who, fed up with a fly and flop holiday, is looking for a new thrill. In the cold depths of winter, a few hours soaking up the sun on the beach might seem rather appealing. But sometimes just feeling the sun on your face can be enough, and the excitement of learning a new skill, or developing an existing one, can deliver a far more fulfilling holiday. Wine-making, cycling safaris and creative writing holidays made the final list, as did our Art Retreat on Stromboli and Salina tour. The 8-night retreat includes daily art and painting classes, boat trips to neighbouring islands and a chance to explore the superb gastronomy of the Aeolian Islands.
